BLENDED LEARNING

This course has two components: an online and instructor-led classroom. You must complete the online portion first. In your confirmation of registration email, included will be a link and steps to completing the online portion of the class. Upon completion you will receive a completion certificate, simply email us a copy or you print and bring with you to the classroom portion of the class.

The American Heart Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. This course has been updated to reflect new science and education in the 2020 Guidelines for CPR & ECC and will replace the previous version.

The American Heart BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. This course has been updated to reflect new science and education in the 2020 Guidelines for CPR & ECC and will replace the previous version.

The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
Important early use of an AED
Effective ventilations using a barrier device

Participants will learn to provide care to; injury, environmental and medical emergencies, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner and how to prevent illness and injury. The American Heart Heartsaver Basic Life Support Blended Learning delivers quality resuscitation education regardless of where providers are located and gives them more control to complete the course at their own pace. Providers first complete the online portion and then complete a hands-on scheduled skills session. This course has been updated to reflect new science and education in the 2020 Guidelines for CPR & ECC and will replace the previous version.
